Justin Timberlake shared a photo showing him in the studio with Pharrell Williams. He mysteriously captioned the photo, "Currently…" and didn't say much else about the shot or what they were doing together. 

Justin Timberlake has never made a bad song, but some of his best music were collaborations with Timbaland & Pharrell/NERD, The Tennessee boy really works well with Virginia producers.

Missy Elliott wants you to biggidy biggidy bounce and rock with it in her new Pharrell-produced song “Pep Rally.” The tune, featuring all the go-to sounds of a proper pep rally, is a refreshing reminder what Missy’s capable of after her underwhelming release for “WTF (Where They From).” She originally premiered the song in a commercial for Amazon Echo former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, Alec Baldwin and Jason Schwartzman. Here are a bunch of artists who are supposed to drop records in 2016; And Timbaland Productions All Over It, we know more about some than about others, but all of them are giving us reasons to think it will be another great year for music . 


                   1- TIMBALAND - TEXTBOOK TIMBO

Timbaland is ready to make 2016 his next big year. Most recently, his executive production of the Empire soundtrack has kept him in ears and on the charts. His recent mixtape, King Stays King, delivered a spattering of truly exciting moments, However even though he’s been consistently productive, Timbo hasn’t been responsible for something legitimately culture- and genre-shifting in an uncharacteristically long time. Though his personal discography work has a few blemishes, a solo Timbaland project inherently poses that game-changing potential. Any Timbaland album promises a few things: spectacular production, a litany of solid guest performances, and the possibility for a few surprises.  2- MISSY ELLIOTT - TBA

Missy Elliott first announced her seventh album, then called Block Party, way back in 2008, but it never materialized. And then in 2012, Missy released a pair of singles, and explained that her private struggles with Graves’ disease had slowed down progress on new music. But it wasn’t until 2015 that the Missy Elliott comeback seemed to really kick into gear. First, her cameo at Katy Perry’s Super Bowl halftime performance put some of Missy’s old hits back on the charts. Then she unveiled “WTF (Where They From),” a bass-heavy collaboration with Pharrell Williams, along with a typically funky, innovating video directed by Dave Meyers. Elliott’s first album in a decade, produced by Pharrell Williams as well as another Virginia beatmaker who’s helmed most of her greatest hits, Timbaland, seems to finally be on the horizon this year. “I want to say 2016 but I don’t want to give a time,” Elliott told Billboard in November.

 3- TINK - THINK TINK

Timbaland’s artist Tink is ready to issue her major label debut album via Mosley Music/Epic Records. Though she didn’t reveal when Think Tink will arrive, she has unveiled the cover art. The lead singles for her project include “Ratchet Commandments” ,“Around the Clock.” "Trust No One" and "Dinero" The 20-year-old even paid homage to Aaliyah with

 a rendition of her hit “One In A Million.”  

4- V.BOZEMAN - MUSIC IS MY BOYFRIEND

5- TIMBALAND - OPERA NOIR

Timbaland mentioned about the project he is working on, called “Opera Noir,” which he is planning on developing into a TV Show. The show is centered on the idea of what if African-American-based slavery didn’t end in 1865 (although that date can be argued based on the documentary “Slavery by Another Name”) and continued to today, what would it look like today. He also discussed how sound and music are part of everyday life, even delving into sounds and technology, weaponry and mind control (he mentioned how some of his music was used for purposes he didn’t know about) The Soundtrack is Coming Later This Year.

Magoo is ready to shock a lot of people..i had people come into my sessions that didn't like him, and now when I play a couple of songs, they say he's okay. We just had fun this time Magoo trying to make a living being the best rapper he can be. you can't hate him for that . Black people hate too much, you won't find no white kids saying that Backstreet Boys album was wack, even though I know there are seven wack songs on there, We've sold a million and a half records as a group me and Magoo. Y'all ain't gotta like everything we do but give it a shot.

Your friend Pharrell makes a lot of political Statements on the new N.E.R.D. project.Do you ever think about things like commitment to the culture or resposibility as a musician?
I'm not into it that deep, All other stuff is extracurricular Once I'm out, I'm out My Kids can say "Daddy you was in that?" and I can say I was Right now makin' beats is a job. I do love music, But at certain point, you care less who buy it 'cause you make it for you. But you can't get into all [Politics]
that stuff will kill ya.

With the seeming lack of recognition from peers and industry people, what keeps you going?
The fans i just wanna thank all Of the women saying they love my beats. Dudes came after but hated at first. I knew I was hot when I had girls  paying attention to my beats. What female you know pay attention to beats? I used to be a DJ and been in music all my life and I ain't never hear a girl say they like a beat before me. They say they like a song. Now they say that beat , So I gotta give this article back to the people 'cause they a real big fan of mine 'cause this is a job just like McDonald's and I don't wanna get laid off.

There Have been a lot of  Timbaland Copycats over the years Is it because it's cheaper to mimic you than to hire you?
I'm High as Crap. I'm so high [priced] amaze myself. People don't even ask me no more. I don't like producing outside my camp. I don't wanna make record companies no hits no more. Hits is boring to me I'm on a new page. I gotta get back to that. The only person that can get something from me anytime.

Why do you call your album Indecent Proposal?
I'm a Master at all games. Any dice you wanna roll, be prepared to pay me cause you gonna lose. I called this album "Indecent Proposal" cause I bet you a million dollars you gonna like it.

You seem to draw upon influences outside Hip Hop, whether R&B or whatever,Is there anything in hip hop that really moves you to wanna create?
I don't even listen to rap music, Rock people influenced me. the only hip hop album that ever influenced me was Dr.Dre 2001, The way it was mixed . how the songs flowed then it was  Stankonia. Thatput a little smile in my heart . There's a lot of creativity going on on that album. The rest of em out there is just records.

People say you got your style from jungle and drum 'n' bass.Is that true?
Man, I didn't know nothin' bout no drum'n' bass. I hadn't even been to london back then.

But can you see how people madr the comparison?
Naw, man, that mess was fast! Mine had more rhythem, more syncopated.

Where do you see yourself in relationship to other producers like Dr.Dre?
Me and Dre are like the movie Devil's Advocate, where he's the devil and I'm Keanu Reeves. He's Daddy looking down over Son. We shouldn't be in a category with other producers. We are official producers, We gotbig-title belts I hate when people try to compare me to people that are my friends, like the Neptunes or Swizz Beatz. I hate that. These are young Black men trying to do their thing .I do feel that me and Dre and Jermaine Dupri are separate, though I say ''Us'' because we know how to break an act . Teddy is Poppa Don. Im not saying he's out of The game , but he's on the same  wavelength . I say Jermaine is over me because hes been doing it since he was young. He's broke new acts and had hits. Then it comes me. You can't forget about puff, Y'all might've talked about him sampling, but how many people sampled the same thing he sampled and didn't work? Like that ''One More Chance'' Remix. I heard that before he used it on Big but he made it work , I can't explain to you what the formula is. But we know it when we hear it in our heads like, ''BLING!'' there it is.

Does that ''Bling'' have anything to do with why you consider yourself a genius?
Anytime I got people from overseas dancing, I'm Mozart. A lot of people know how to play and still can't make beats as dope as me. I can tell a girl what to sing and how to sing it. I can write a hook off the top of my head. I just love what I do It's a musical gift that god gave me . "Is that Your Chick" is a year and half old and look how it sound today? "Pony'' was three years old when it came out. What does that tell you?

It seems like producers are getting more light these days than ever. Still, is it enough?
I just feel like producing is such a hard thing. There's always a newcomer, but you don't hear about the newcomer after a certain number of songs . The Neptunes are peeps. I used to be in a group with them . and they from my hometown, But I don't want the puplic to look at then just for now and not tomorrow. Don't just pay attention to them when they've got a hit record Just because we do a song with Jay-Z, We get attention. Thats bogus.

A lot of People who hire you also use DJ Premier [Jay-Z, Lox, Nas]. Why do you think that is?
You gotta go back to Premier. He's the ghetto king. I think his perfect match in heaven was Biggie. That was his magical artist, Big and Premier had something special. O could do the dirty, grimy records. I could go back on a Roland 808, But Premier got that on lock.

10 Things We Learned From Timbaland's New Book "The Emperor of Sound"

Any conversation about the greatest producers of all time must include Timbaland. Timothy Mosley emerged in the Nineties with a series of beguiling records that changed the course of hip-hop and R&B; in short order, he launched a career in pop, helping to create unforgettable hits for Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Jay Z. The open-minded, genre-hybrid approach that dominates contemporary production would be hard to imagine without Timbaland's example.

1. Timbaland loves Rod Stewart.The famous beatmaker's memoir, modestly titled The Emperor of Sound, arrives tomorrow. Somewhat like a Timbaland beat, the volume takes a lot of strange jumps — ignoring, for example, the recording of the classic first Missy Elliott album — but the book still contains a wealth of interesting details. Here are 10 key revelations.

The producer showed his genre-defying impulses early on: While Rick James, Queen and Prince all played an important role in his musical education, no one receives more praise than Rod Stewart. "The genius of the instrumentation is unparalleled," writes Timbaland of "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" "Like every truly great pop song, it's got all the elements you've heard before, lined up in a way that you've never quite heard before. ... That song picks you up and doesn't let you go until the very last guitar lick." He adds later that "trying to chart my influences is like trying to pinpoint the origin of a cell-phone signal in those movies when the bad guy is using a scrambler."

2. In high school, he was in a group with Pharrell.In his teens, Timbaland put together the wonderfully named band Surrounded by Idiots. Timbaland was the DJ and Pharrell served as one of several rappers. (Pharrell also had his own group, Dead Poets Society, at the time.) Magoo, who would eventually release several albums with Mosley, was also a member. Mosley believes Surrounded by Idiots were ahead of their time: "We even had a few songs that I think would still be up to the standards of today."

3. He has a bullet lodged in his arm.While working at Red Lobster in high school, Mosley was accidentally shot — someone was attempting to deliver a gun to another kitchen employee, but it went off and hit Timbaland, causing him to lose the use of his left arm for seven months. He DJ'd anyway, using his shoulder to scratch despite the pain.

4. Timbaland spent several torturous years as a producer for DeVante Swing of Jodeci. Initially, Timbaland and Missy Elliott thought that earning the attention of Jodeci — an R&B group at the peak of its commercial powers — would be their big break. According to Timbaland's description, working under DeVante Swing was more like being under house arrest. "We would go for days without eating," he remembers. "We would be woken up in the middle of the night to run crazy errands. We were knocked around, kicked around, and beat down." In addition, Timbaland suggests that he was barely paid royalties for work he did on various songs during this time period.

5. Mosley's unique approach to sound was partially inspired by physically distorted records.Around the time Timbaland was making the beat that would ultimately become Ginuwine's "Pony" — a modern R&B classic — he developed an interest in degraded records. "If you leave a a record out in the sun, it will warp," he notes. "[I]t's going to have a strange, distorted sound. I love that sound and I started making beats with that vibe. I was thinking, Warp it a little, when I added belching synthesizers to the beat I was working on."

6. After Aaliyah's death, Timbaland went through a serious bout of depression.Timbaland and his partner in rhyme, Missy Elliott, played a crucial role on Aaliyah's second and third albums — Timbo produced roughly half of 1996's One in a Million, which went triple platinum, and three songs from 2001's Aaliyah, which won a Grammy for Best R&B Album. He was very close to the singer, and when she died in a plane crash in 2001, he went into a downward spiral. "I drank, as early as seemed social acceptable," he recalls. "Then I drank until the finish, to pass out. ... I kept the shades drawn and banned all guests. I gave up on grooming myself."

7. He disagrees with Jay Z about "Big Pimpin'."In his own memoir, Decoded, Jay Z disavowed "Big Pimpin'" due to its lyrical content. "Some [lyrics] become really profound when you see them in writing," the MC explained. "Not 'Big Pimpin'.'" It was like, I can't believe I said that. And kept saying it. What kind of animal would say this sort of thing?" Timbo does not share his regrets. "Making records is all about the moment," he counters. "You capture that moment in time and it's a letter in a bottle. Sometimes, years later, you go back and you play a track and it's like reading the diary of a you that you can barely remember. Doesn't mean that the old you was bad or something to be ashamed of."

8. Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around ... Comes Around" came out of a "Cry Me a River"–inspired jam.When Timberlake headed back into the studio with Timbaland to craft the follow-up to his breakout album, Justified, the singer was creatively frustrated, crippled by the pressure of matching his solo debut's impressive commercial performance. In an attempt to break out of the gridlock, Timbaland and his partner Nate "Danja" Hill started "fooling around and freestyling with some of the sounds from 'Cry Me a River,'" the Timbaland-crafted hit from Justified. The result became "What Goes Around ... Comes Around," yet another Number One smash for Timberlake. Another interesting tidbit: The singer was apparently bumping INXS and Bowie constantly during theFutureSex recording process, though you wouldn't be able to tell that from listening to the finished product.

9. Timbaland actively reads his own press.At least the good press. He gleefully quotes The New York Times' Kelefa Sanneh on two separate occasions, touting his bold production on Aaliyah's "Try Me" single and the success of Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds album.

10. He's just getting started.

Timbaland isn't interested in resting on his laurels. "Do I feel like I've hit my ceiling yet?" he asks. "By no means." He holds himself to a high standard: "My goal is to achieve a body of work that can sit in comparison with the work of the one and only Quincy Jones."

Missy Elliott Feat. Pharrell - WTF (Where They From)

Missy Elliott has made a few guest appearances recently, but other than that her musical 

output has been next to non-existent. It's been ten years since she dropped her last album (The Cookbook) and three years since she dropped her last solo record (Timbaland-produced “9th Inning” and “Triple Threat"). Her surprise performance at the Super Bowl halftime show in February seemed like the beginning of a comeback from Misdemeanor Elliott... watch "WTF" and keep your eye out for more to come.
